Standing female Ibeji twin figure, probably by Bogunjooko, Ila Orangun region (d. 1870). Exceptionally old, made of bright wood with deep brown patina, traces of camwood and indigo on the coiffure. At the right arm is hung a brass bracelet and glass bead chain. Standing on a circular base, with hands held to the hips. Fine head with oval eyes inset with metal tacks for the pupils, extremely worn facial features, wearing an elaborate and crown-like upswept coiffure.
