 PURCHASE
ON APPROVAL
A commitment to purchase need not be made until the art work
is seen in person and approved by the purchaser. All shipments
will be made in an easily reusable art container, allowing for
convenient return, if so desired.
WITHIN THE UNITED STATES
Leslie Sacks Fine Art will be responsible for insurance and
shipping to the purchaser, with the exception of charges for
extraordinarily large or high value art works. Prior to shipping,
Leslie Sacks Fine Art will process the purchaser's MasterCard,
Visa or American Express charge for the amount of the purchase.
If the purchaser elects to return the art work within seven
days of receipt, it is simply placed back in the reusable container
and returned to Leslie Sacks Fine Art. (Return shipping instructions
and documents will be provided.) Upon receipt by Leslie Sacks
Fine Art, the purchase price less return shipping and insurance
costs will be credited to the purchaser's charge card account,
excepting adjustment in the event of damage not due to shipping.
INTERNATIONAL
For purchases to be shipped outside of the United States, Leslie
Sacks Fine Art will first process the purchaser's MasterCard,
Visa or American Express charge for the amount of the purchase,
plus the cost of insurance and shipping to the purchaser. If
the purchaser elects to return the art work within seven days
of receipt, it is simply placed back in the reusable container
and returned to Leslie Sacks Fine Art. (Return shipping instructions
and documents will be provided.) Upon receipt by Leslie Sacks
Fine Art, the purchaser's charge card account will be credited
for the purchase price, less return shipping, insurance and
customs clearance costs, and adjustment in the event of damage
not due to shipping.
The purchaser will need to be responsible for payment of customs
charges, duties and/or taxes, if any, upon arrival of the art
work in their country of receipt. In the event that the purchaser
elects to return the art work, the purchaser will need to be
responsible for obtaining a refund of duties and taxes, if any,
within their own country, however, Leslie Sacks Fine Art will
assist as necessary via liaison with the carrier.
VIEWING OF HIGH VALUE ART WORKS
Art works of exceptionally high value may be seen at viewing
rooms in most major cities worldwide. These arrangements are
made on an individual basis.
ASSURANCES
Leslie Sacks Fine Art is a member of both the International
Fine Print Dealers Association and the Art Dealers Association
of California, as indicated by the insignias of these organizations
on the home page. Membership in these associations is by peer
review only. Leslie Sacks Fine Art deals strictly with works
in excellent condition, with the sole exception of extremely
rare, old and/or delicate works that are highly desirable but
subject to the effects of time. In these cases, all condition
issues will be disclosed in advance of shipment on approval.
Therefore, purchases on approval are primarily for the purpose
of enabling the patron to see the art work itself, rather than
merely a digital or conventional photographic representation.
