Han - Black Han Pottery Amphora Height: 13 3/8 inches A large burnished black-grey amphora. The slightly waisted neck with hatching and the body with four spirals in low relief, broad flat handles rising from the body to meet the outward curve of the everted rim. Black pottery amphorae of this shape have been produced from the Warring States period and throughout the Han Dynasty in the province of Western Sichuan.
