Bembe / Hemba / Lega - Lukwakongo Mask
Height: 11 1/4 inches
Very light, bright wood with dark brown-black patina and a thick kaolin layer. Of hollowed oval
form and pierced around the rim for attachment of the beard made of vegetable fiber. Open
quadratic mouth, fine quadratic eyes, nose with longitudinal groove.
